About Workoutaholic
My name is Geoff Glaeser and I am a Workoutaholic. (
hi Geoff)
Workoutaholic is a straight forward, no nonsense approach to health and fitness. I am not here to sell quick fixes or magic pills. If you are looking for quality workouts, new exercises to shock you muscles, and articles written to increase your knowledge about the best ways to stay fit, eat healthy, and stay on track then you are in the right place.
What's Inside?
Exercises
Over 250 exercise videos! Each video provides valuable tips on how to perform the exercise properly and how to modify it to match your abilities. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect and the better you get at performing each exercise, the more effective each will be.
Workouts
Variety is the spice of training (which is life) and Workoutaholic has workouts to keep it fresh.

High Intensity Aerobic

Balance

Toning and Definition

Cross Training

Strength & Size

Flexibility
Most of the workouts are perfect for doing at home or even while you travel since they require minimal equipment, making it easier for you to stay on track and avoid unnecessary time off…because your schedule doesn't revolve around your gym.
Training Programs
Purchase a premium membership and get both the get the 10 week training program (the blueprint) and my brand new 8 week cross training program, tracking sheets for all the workouts, and my support making sure the programs are focused on your goals. I will help you with modifying the programs, workouts, and even individual exercises; the programs are a template and together we will make sure we create the right template for you. You can follow the programs day by day online and also print it out for tracking offline.
Training (Articles)
These articles are designed to add context to all the workouts and exercises on the site. Many of the articles focus on how to train major muscle groups in the body and also cover other important topics like why you need to warm-up and signs you might be overtraining.
Nutrition
Scientifically proven nutrition is the name of the game; I don't subscribe to fads and I don't push products. I believe in eating real food and balancing your diet through variety. I eat all types of carbs, plenty of tasty fat (even saturated), protein from a variety of plant sources, and lots of vegetables. You don't have to eat the way I do but, if what you're doing isn't working and you don't have any food allergies (you probably aren't allergic to gluten) then it may be worth a try. This section will be updated soon to reflect changes I have made to my own diet which includes going vegan.
Tracking
The "tracking" section has expanded since the site originally launched and may need to be re-labeled soon. What was originally a place to store tracking sheets along with worksheets for setting goals and tracking actions has expanded into everything else that might help you stay motivated, organized, and engaged.
Meet Geoff
I created Workoutaholic to share information on a subject I have been passionate about for over fifteen years, health and fitness. I have been certified as a trainer for over 11 years with my general personal training certification from the National Association of Sports Medicine along with specializations in sports nutrition and sports performance.
Before starting Workoutaholic I spent most of my career in consulting, working long hours and traveling weekly for work. I lived out of hotel rooms and spent upwards of 14 hours a week on airplanes. While staying fit and healthy wasn't always easy, I made it a priority and found creative ways to eat healthy and get workouts in anywhere. My experience over these years changed my views on how to achieve health and fitness. Missing a workout because a gym wasn't available wasn't an option; I had to improvise and make do with what was available. Eating unhealthy food on the road because I didn't have a kitchen wasn't an option either. I started to stop at grocery stores for meals instead of fast food restaurants and found ways to keep healthier snacks available even when I was stuck at the office late at night.
Workoutaholic.net is what I use to stay in shape; these are the workouts I use to train and the meals I eat (although at this time the meals section is still expanding). All the workouts are designed to get results and challenge you along the way...they challenge me constantly. It was my goal to create a valuable health and fitness tool that people could use to get in great shape and live healthier lives. I can say with confidence that I believe in this site and the information it contains.
~ Geoff
